Holy beauty.

It was Katelin in her Monique Lhuillier blush wedding dress. Actually, it was Katelin in her robe without makeup, a dress, or any accessories on. She was already truly breathtaking. It was the buzz in the air of the St. Regis Deer Valley bridal suite overlooking the mountains of Park City, Utah.

It was the custom ceremony alter (the whole entire scene, actually) designed by the fabulous Michelle Leo Events, and executed by Blooms and Blossoms. It was the floor length sequin bridesmaid dresses, and open air tented reception with its sheer white draping blowing in the fresh mountain air. It was all “holy beauty.”

2014 weddings {a year in review}

We would like to take a moment to look back on the 2014 season of weddings with you. What a memorable year full of heartfelt moments and beautiful love stories. These couples and their weddings have impacted us in a big way. Thank you to all of these newlyweds, their families and friends, and the many talented professionals that we have worked with this past year. We are grateful for you and your friendship!

The season of weddings began at one of our favorite Minneapolis venues, The Calhoun Beach Club, and wrapped up at one of our favorite Wisconsin venues, The Enchanted Barn. We photographed love in the snow, in barns, on the beach, under the oak trees, in church, on the streets of Nashville, under the Spanish moss, on the lake, and more. It was a year to remember. We have clocked more hours in the car than maybe ever before, and we often talked about our favorite memories from the day on our drive home from a wedding. More than ever, we were in complete awe of our couple’s stories… the way they met; fell in love; stayed in love. We were moved by generosity… the way we would arrive home from a long weekend of work and travel, to find gifts at our door from clients. You all move us and inspire us in so many ways. The 2014 year was amazing because of you. Thank you!

Wisconsin Country Engagement

I think everyone just wants to be surrounded by people who love as deeply as they do; to spend their life with someone who shares a passion for life, and will do their best to keep on understanding them as they change and grow. Bethany and Sean have that. They have all they need in each other, and it kind of leaves me speechless to witness, and try to write about.

Bethany and I grew up under the same roof… sort of. This sweet little child was kind enough to share her mom with two dozen other kids every Monday through Friday for her entire childhood. I was lucky enough to be one of them. Bethany’s mom, Julie, was the world’s best baby sitter, and her house was the place where many of us Mosinee kids made our first friends. Bethany and I have been friends since she was born, so to see her grow into one of the most selfless, kind, genuine people I know is a beautiful thing. To see her falling in love with Sean… is even better. You can see the way they give and take, and cheer each other on. You can see that love lives there.
