Nicollet Island Inn is one of our favorite places in Minneapolis, and photographing Caitlyn and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the wedding there was such a pretty start to this wedding day. John and Caitlyn’s families met them at Nicollet Island Pavilion where they shared a romantic outdoor ceremony, complete with their favorite literature shared by friends.

Caitlyn was absolutely gorgeous in her BHLDN wedding dress, carrying florals by Spruce.

Congratulations Caitlyn and John Backes!!

Holy beauty.

It was Katelin in her Monique Lhuillier blush wedding dress. Actually, it was Katelin in her robe without makeup, a dress, or any accessories on. She was already truly breathtaking. It was the buzz in the air of the St. Regis Deer Valley bridal suite overlooking the mountains of Park City, Utah.

It was the custom ceremony alter (the whole entire scene, actually) designed by the fabulous Michelle Leo Events, and executed by Blooms and Blossoms. It was the floor length sequin bridesmaid dresses, and open air tented reception with its sheer white draping blowing in the fresh mountain air. It was all “holy beauty.”

Since the day that Nubia reached out to us about photographing her wedding day, we knew we HAD to photograph her and John. She was deployed at the time, and through just a few email exchanges, we shared a mutual excitement about her future wedding photos.

Fast forward to August 1st when we met Nubia and John at The Wilds Golf Club… we were in awe over all of the beauty and design that Nubia had devoted to her day; but even more, we were moved by the way these two people love each other. We celebrated their great love through photos at the lake, and Fort Snelling Chapel, where Nubia’s commitment to the United States Army, and her father’s service in the United States Navy were honored.

Kate Botwinski Photography, Boe Chapel Wedding Photographers, St. Olaf Wedding Photographers, St. Olaf College Weddings, Northfield Minnesota Photographers, Boe Chapel Weddings, Minnesota Wedding Photographer, Film Photographers, Kate Botwinski, Sam Botwinski

This was one of those perfect June wedding days; the weather, the company, Boe Chapel at St. Olaf College, THIS bride and groom… There is a lot that we could say about how kind these newlyweds are, how truly happy they are, how they just seem to take care of each other and everyone around them. Let us just tell you that they were completely smothered in love throughout this celebration. It made us happy to witness the outpouring of love on such a deserving couple.

Kyle never stopped smiling, even in the in between moments, he was smiling. Greta, she’s amazing. She’s always a light, and such a gem. We adore this couple, and we especially love the way Greta finds a spot on Kyle’s chest to snuggle herself up into (see last image).

This ARIA Minneapolis Wedding was pretty magical. Jenn and Noel exchanged their vows under Aria’s sparkly chandeliers, surrounded by candlelight, and Studio Fleurette‘s amazing work (we love when Dani brings her floral expertise to any venue, but especially when she brings the outside IN at large, historic spaces like this.

It was an honor to document this day with you, Jenn and Noel. We are looking forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.

This Loring Pasta Bar and Varsity Theater wedding was one we will never forget. Sam and Claire created a unique, fun, and memorable celebration for their guests. They were supported with eight bridesmaids and groomsmen, who all contributed their best to make this day special for The Franks. The dance floor was packed, the ceremony was special, the speeches were unforgettable, and Sam and Claire made the most of their day by seeing each other early on, and enjoying the Dinkytown streets together before they became husband and wife. We wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Happy Friday, Friends! We are so happy to share a glimpse into this happy engagement session with you today! Between the endless fields of green, the lake, and their sweet loving relationship, this was a really beautiful session. What a bonus to add this little yellow lab of theirs. Dear Drake, we wanted to keep you.

{sneak peek} wausau wisconsin wedding | jenna & lee

Kate Botwinski Photography, Wausau Wedding Photographers, Husband and Wife Minnesota Photographers, Minneapolis Wedding Photographer, Film Photographers, Wisconsin Weddings

These newlyweds are so loved and supported in their marriage. We are talking 400 wedding guests, a wedding party of twenty-five, a reception filled with heartfelt stories from guests, families, and best friends. The day was full of meaning and celebration that extended beyond Jenna and Lee’s nine year long love story.

Jenna wore her grandmother’s wedding dress to walk down the aisle, which her mom had also worn on her wedding day. The father-daughter dance was extra special, as Jenna’s dear friend sang a father-daughter childhood favorite song. There were few dry eyes around the dance floor as Lee and his mom shared a dance about unending love, sang by his sister. It was such a beautiful day, and we are so grateful to have shared it with the Breit and Pecha families (and this amazing group of twenty-five friends!!).

jefferson street inn wausau wedding | alison & troy

Kate Botwinski Photography, Wausau Wisconsin Weddings, Jefferson Street Inn Weddings, Wisconsin Wedding Photographers, Wisconsin Spring Weddings, Jefferson Street Inn Wausau

When a couple uses a real, shiny blue guitar as their wedding “guest book,” you know they are a cool couple… and they probably really love music! Alison and Troy’s story began a few years back when they were each asked by engaged friends to perform music at their upcoming wedding. They both agreed, and had to meet up to practice their music together before the wedding. Troy was on guitar and Alison’s shared her talents on vocals. Life changed for them when they met each other through music and their friend’s wedding. They had no idea at the time that they were going to one day be husband and wife, and they were definitely not looking for love at the time.
