Shooting Ross + Lindsay’s wedding reminded me why I am a photographer and why I love my job so much. Capturing this love that two people share, on the happiest day of their lives, the emotion that they are feeling, and the quirky laughter that fills the air from their bridal party. Watching two people that deserve only the best (and that is each other) vow to live with and love each other until death, and know that they really mean the words they are saying…. I can’t think of a more beautiful thing to witness. I can’t help but feel so blessed to make photos of those moments, to really freeze time and deliver those special images to Ross + Lindsay.
This was one of the most incredible shoots we have had to date. How could it not have been? Two people in love, the beach on a summer day, guitar playing in the sand, and an indescribable bond between husband & wife. I melted when Meechy played a song that he wrote for Kelsey with his guitar- so dreamy!
We thank The Williams’ for booking a session with us. You two gave us goosebumps even on the hottest of summer days. You have a beautiful marriage.
I didn’t even know this was possible, but I fell harder in love with this couple as I edited through their engagement session. Molly + Brett were already wonderful to me, but after sifting through the images we created, I would find myself smiling and understanding how they must feel about each other. It’s plain and simple: I adore this couple.
When Molly and Brett hired us as their wedding photographers, they explained that they HAD to have us photograph their engagement session in Omaha, Nebraska where they met and fell in love. That made perfect sense to me, and after Sam and I made the trip to their city and hung out on the town, I realized that these images just wouldn’t be the same, had we met in any other place.
When Chantel and Brad contacted us to schedule a trash the dress session, we were ecstatic to meet with them. We loved photographing them! Chantel has the best style and Brad compliments her perfectly. After two years of marriage they were so flirty and fun; a real dream to photograph.
I should just mention, wedding dresses are not usually ruined during our trash the dress sessions. Most couples simply enjoy spending more time being casual with us at locations they didn’t have time to visit on their wedding day. What bride wouldn’t love a reason to wear her wedding dress again, right?
We were so excited to have Zach & Beth’s wedding featured on one of our favorite wedding blogs, Utterly Engaged! The wedding is included in their Tearjerker issue- how perfect, since I found myself crying behind my camera while watching Zach sweep Beth away during their first dance. Check out the lovely post that Alison over at Utterly Engaged published here.

Ashley and Patrick joined their closest family and friends at The Westin Resort in St. John, The US Virgin Islands where the group of fifty enjoyed a week of beach activities. Ashley is one of the most beautiful women I have ever had the honor of knowing, and her wedding day was no different; I swear I was picking my jaw up off the floor every five minutes. Patrick made Ash his wife on the beach at sunset. The evening commenced with a beautiful dinner and dancing to a live band beneath the stars.
